Artist Statement
"My approach to documentary photography is deeply immersive. I believe in spending extended time with my subjects, building trust and understanding that allows me to capture authentic moments of vulnerability and strength. Each project is a collaboration, not an extraction."
"I'm drawn to stories that challenge preconceptions and reveal the complexity of human experience. Whether documenting aging and caregiving, the impacts of incarceration, or healthcare challenges, I seek to create images that foster empathy and understanding across divides."
"Photography has the power to bear witness and create change. My work aims to illuminate overlooked narratives and amplify voices that often go unheard, contributing to important conversations about social justice, healthcare, and human dignity."
